Community Composting
There’s no such thing as food “waste” when you compost!
Food To Power makes it super convenient for residents and businesses to keep food, paper and yard “wastes” out of the trash and instead have it turned into compost.
Composting not only prevents disastrous gases from the landfill, but it boosts soil fertility for healthier plants, people and planet.
Our compost collection services include curbside pickups and dropoff locations, to meet the lifestyle and budget of anyone who’s committed to composting! Signup to start diverting your compostables today.

Curbside Pickups
Weekly or biweekly (every-other-week) pickup service is available to residents and businesses in the shaded purple area between Fountain and Constitution and Union and I-25.
You save your scraps from the kitchen and set ‘em on the curb for pickup. Food To Power takes it from there — collecting, cleaning and hauling food scraps — to become compost at either Don’s Garden Shop, WM Midway Composting facility or at our home site, the Hillside Hub. Members get finished compost back in the Spring and Fall.
It’s as easy as a curbside trash/recycle service, but with the satisfaction of making a real, local impact on soil fertility for re-vegetation and drought resilience.
In addition to households, FTP Compost can service commercial establishments (like offices, restaurants, etc.) and events on a case-by-case basis.
It all starts with telling us about your needs.
